Our Family

Throughout our 15 years of marriage, adoption has always been a part of the heart and vision for our family. One piece of that vision is for our earthly family to reflect the image of God’s family- drawing us toward a trans-racial adoption. Following the births of Emma in 2005 and Asher in 2008, we both felt the time to pursue adoption had arrived and all the years of dreaming started becoming a reality. We started our official process in May of 2010 and after a much longer than anticipated journey, we arrived home from Ethiopia with our daughter Lulu in March of 2012. We learned so much about the gift of international adoption as well as its shortcomings through our process, and most of all learned the sustaining power of our heavenly Father throughout the darkest and most joyous of circumstances. Blogging our experience, our triumphs, our setbacks and struggles has connected us with so many incredible people we otherwise would never have known. We remain excited and open to whatever new adventures God leads us on in this new season. Thank you for visiting and being a part of our story!
